APPLICATION OF MILCHAT SOFTWARE ENVIRONMENT IN MILITARY EDUCATION TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE FEATURES OF TRAINING DURING A PANDEMIC

Abstract

The author of the article identifies the features of military service and the organization of the educational process in a pandemic; the requirements to the means of information and communication technologies and selection criteria are determined due to the specifics of military service and the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in a pandemic; the existing means of information and communication technologies are analyzed, their classification is carried out; the MilChat software environment is analyzed and the elements of the methodology of conducting the lesson with its use are stated; developed a methodology for selecting new means of information and communication technologies and evaluating the effectiveness of their use in appropriate conditions (pandemic, military education).

Besides, it was substantiated the set of criteria for selection of new means of information and communication technologies, on the basis of certain requirements for them, due to the peculiarities of military service and the organization of the educational process in a pandemic.

Also, the author classifies the existing means of information and communication technologies. This classification is based on a cluster analysis of expert opinions and takes into account the requirements for information and communication technologies due to the peculiarities of military service and the organization of the educational process in a pandemic. The main classes of existing information and communication technologies are defined as follows: those that are used directly in the educational process; those used to organize the educational process.

The developed method for selecting new means of information and communication technologies and evaluating the effectiveness of their application in appropriate conditions, which is based on the method of analysis of hierarchies is presented.

Moreover, it is performed the assessment of the effectiveness of the use of information and communication technologies in the context of military education and the organization of the educational process in a pandemic and found out the advantage of the environment MilChat compared to analogues by 13-19%.

The novelty of this study is that for the first time the assessment of using the information and communication technologies in the military education system taking into account the peculiarities of military education and restrictions caused by the pandemic was carried out.
