Abstract
The article deals with the organization, the main stages, and the results of the pedagogical experiment aiming to verify the model and method for the development of information and research competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers. This model is based on open electronic scientific and educational systems (OESES), designed to effectively organize and support scientific research in education, pedagogy, social and behavioral sciences. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign studies, as well as the authors' own experience the concept of OESES has been clarified. It is substantiated that it is advisable to use scientific electronic libraries, electronic open journal systems (EOJS), scientometric databases, electronic social networks, systems for assessing the quality of pedagogical tests, systems for digital identification of scientists, and scientific publications, software for checking the uniqueness of texts. Nowadays, these tools are in demand and are widely used to organize scientific and educational activities in educational institutions and scientific institutions around the world. An experiment on testing the effectiveness of the method of using OESES for the development of information and research competence of scientists in their professional activities was carried out in scientific institutions of the NAES of Ukraine (ascertaining stage) and in research departments of 3 universities of Ukraine (forming stage) for 3 years. At the ascertaining stage, ICT tools for the publication and dissemination of research results were identified. The scientists` attitude to these tools was studied. At the formative stage, the main hypothesis of the research was confirmed. The level of information and research competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers are increasing in the conditions of methodologically grounded use of OESES. It was found that the experimental methodology provides a positive effect on the development of information and research competence. The angular Fisher transformation method was used to check the statistical significance of the results.
