The labor market is changing under the influence of development and use of digital technologies in all areas, as digital transformation is taking place everywhere, including education. In today's digital society, special attention is paid to the formation of information and digital competence not only of teachers and students, but also of citizens, which begins in primary and secondary school. This significantly affects the role and content of the subject of informatics, not only in Ukraine, but also in many countries of the world. According to the concept of NUSH (New Ukrainian School) and the new State Educational Standards, this competence belongs to the basic and is of special importance. The main goal of the subject of informatics is to ensure a high level of information and digital competence of students. The article presents the results of the survey conducted as a part of the "Updated Informatics - IT Studios" project, implemented at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the EU4Digital U program. Respondents were 250 teachers of informatics, representatives of IT enterprises and university teachers. Iit is necessary to learn the expectations of society, the labor market, and educators in order to modernize the content of computer science (informatics) education, create appropriate digital resources, develop innovative pedagogical technologies for teaching students, including in war conditions, while implementing distance and blended forms of education. The results of the conducted research made it possible to fundamentally update the content lines of computer science education and to identify modern modules of learning for students of primary, secondary and specialized schools and to build a modern model of student education. The next step of the presented research within the framework of the project is development of the digital educational resources for students, their approbation in the selected experimental educational institutions, in which learning takes place according to the new content of the subject of informatics.
