Abstract

The quality of teacher education is one of the priorities of the society development in the XXI century. In particular, teacher training in the field of ICT is considered important today. The article deals with the analysis of the problem of improving teacher education in the conditions of informatization of society. It is examined the place of ICT competence in the structure of professional competence of European teacher. The author studies the experience of leading European Union countries in ICT integration in initial teacher education and determines the main ways of improving of teacher training in the field of ICT.
