Abstract

The article reflects the author’s views on the issue of the modern information technologies use in solving the basic problems of scientific research, the analysis of various software categories for this activity and presentation of its results is submitted, that is program libraries, specialized, interactive, intelligent, expert calculation and logical systems, automated systems for inventive assignments, spreadsheets, Web-sites, etc. The expediency of the course “Modern information technologies in scientific studies” use in the masters’ preparation in higher educational establishment is motivated.
