Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the emotional states of teachers of the New Ukrainian School by using a computer test posted on the website. The problem of complications in the performance of professional duties due to insufficient competence in the use of Information Communication Technologies and an unstable psychological state, which manifests itself in negative emotional feelings, is actualized. Theoretical analysis reveals that fundamental research on the emotional states of teachers at New Ukrainian School during the coronavirus pandemic has just begun. To clarify the emotional states of teachers associated with the transition to distance teaching in connection with quarantine, online testing of teachers was carried out by using the computer version of the test "Research of emotional states of a personality" by E. A. Pomytkin, which includes 10 scales, created on the basis of the classification of 300 emotions and feelings of a personality. Two main indicators of emotional experiences of teachers were taken into account, namely the ratio between positive and negative emotional states and the most typical emotional reactions and trajectories of the emotional response of the individual. It was found that the overwhelming number of respondents is in states close to frustration - doubt, despondency, confusion. The reasons for these destructive states are analyzed, associated with the lack of necessary skills for the implementation of distance learning, as well as because of the high demands from the state and parents to the personality of the New Ukrainian School teacher. The results of the study confirmed the need for providing psychological assistance to teachers, especially older than 45 years. Among the leading conclusions, it is indicated that the use of Information Communication Technologies during the Covid-19 pandemic makes it possible for NUS teachers to carry out professional activities online, to participate in the psychological diagnosis of their own emotional states, their psychological correction in the context of online counseling, to improve their qualifications at thematic webinars. The prospects for further research are determined, which consist in the empirical verification of the assumptions that Man. Family. World course teaching can be a factor that indirectly improves the emotional state of teachers themselves.
