Abstract

The paper presents comparative analysis of major software technological characteristics and functional features of electronic open access journal systems. Conducted a detailed review of specialized literature, developer’s sites and the world experience analysis of installing these class systems. Recommendations for the use of such electronic publishing services by national research and educational institutions in the release process of scientific and educational publications are presented. Has made an attempt of selecting the best e-journal system that meets the needs and resources of individual publications and research institution that supports it.
