Abstract

The modern labour market increases high demands for highly qualified personnel. The high level of competition, the rapid development of science and technology, the widespread introduction of advanced information technologies are factors that stimulate the need for workers in any field of activity to acquire new knowledge and improve their professional competence. As a result, the market of educational services represents a huge number of educational products that can meet this need: trainings, workshops, internships, advanced training and, of course, master’s degree study programmes, as a key educational product of HEIs. The “bottleneck” of master’s degree study programmes is the length of the learning process, so for master’s degree study programmes it is necessary to create additional competitive advantages. Thus, the relevance of the material discussed in this article is due to the urgent need to improve the competitiveness of master’s degree study programmes, which is one of the key elements of the system of lifelong learning. The problem can be solved through the use of innovative teaching methods that combine the best teaching practices, as well as the active use of information technology. The article is devoted to the development of relevant and promising ideas of individualized competence-based education of master students. The paper proposes a conceptual model for information blocks of the IT platform for organizing an innovative approach to the training of master students. The scientific and practical value of the work is the development and justification of the structure, as well as the relationship of information blocks of this IT platform. A key aspect and competitive advantage of the IT platform is the ability to automatically build an individual trajectory of master students training in a multidimensional radial chart format. This tool is called the student's individual educational diagram. Prospective approbation of the developed model involves the development of appropriate software, carrying out painstaking educational and methodical work, as well as the implementation of a pilot project for master students of IT specialties at Kriviy Rih National University.
