Abstract

The article analyzes the methodological and organizational aspects of the creation and use of formalized and non-formalized knowledge in the process of learning in the workplace. The technique of knowledge transformation for e-learning systems of publishing industry specialists is developed. This technique is tested in the form of a prototype for an information system for transformed knowledge automated testing. The developed methodology involves the technology of transformation of non-formalized knowledge into formalized knowledge in the process of on-the-job training. Also, in the structure of the method, an automated check of transformed knowledge for compliance with the rules of a specific subject area is proposed. The complexity of solving these tasks is determined by the need to find a form for describing the various kinds of informal knowledge. On the basis of the choice of the description form, a method for formalizing knowledge is formed. The implementation of this method of formalizing knowledge takes place on the basis of the use of appropriate software tools for automating the process of knowledge transformation. The essence of the proposed method of formalizing knowledge is to describe the types of knowledge with the help of some formalized language and the automatic transformation of already formalized rules into the code. The paper proposes the creation of a software tool that will generate a file with a script from the formal rules of the domain and the converter. The application of the developed mechanism is possible both for verification, and for creating templates for describing informal knowledge, taking into account the rules of a specific subject area. As an example of the application of the proposed method of formalizing knowledge in the process of studying in the workplace, the methodical recommendations made on the basis of its formalization of the rules of the edition of publications and the verification of the layout according to these rules are presented on its basis. The user of these guidelines is a layout designer. The rules of the subject area in this example are the ones for publications editing.
