Abstract
The article defines the role of the main definitions that affect the formation of readiness for professional activity of future economists, clarified concepts and categories of the study. The stages of formation of professional competence as a process that continues throughout their professional development, including the formation of intentions and professional orientation, training, professional development are analyzed. It is defined the composition of professional competence according to the structure of activity, as well as the characteristic set of professionally significant qualities of future economist necessary for successful profession.References
