Abstract

It is overviewed the scope of eduсative smartphone-applications usage to process the population’s psychotraumatic experience gained by means of ATO and JFO events in Ukraine. It is emphasized that mobile applications are an economical and fast way to provide proper psychological information. The typical functions of applications that are suitable for psychotraumatic experience processing are particulated: (1) informative (text, illustrative or audio-video information about post-traumatic conditions and centers of full-time care); (2) diagnostic (tools for the symptoms self-assessment); (3) monitoring («diaries» and statistical services for tracking state changes); (4) accompanying (exercises and games for constructive skills managing); (5) reminding (repeating the useful activities); (6) communicatory («chats», video or audio connection). Examples and content description of electronic services with relevant functions are provided, such as «PFA Mobile Ukraine», «Mobile Psychological Assistance», «Social-Psychological Support for Veterans' Adaptation», «PTSD Coach», «Daylio», «Woebot», etc. The strategy of psycho-educational applications incorporation into traditional socio-psychological work on psychotrauma is proposed: structuring the information (educational stage), automation of symptom evaluation (diagnostic stage), widening of communication tools and changes monitoring (basic stage), partial replacement of assistance procedures (supporting stage). The elements of this strategy are presented as internally linked with each other and consistent with cycle repetition as needed. The terms for ensuring the effectiveness of psycho-educative applications usage to cope with the effects of psychotraumatization are determined: (1) the ethical guarantees upon the personal information non-disclosure; (2) the reliable theoretical basis and empirical verification; (3) the simple and intuitive interface; (4) the gamification of content.
